Ralph Lauren vibes was the assignment = timeless, lived in, curated compositions, effortless emotions, rolling fields, preppy details, and horses DUH.
POV: You get to shoot your best friends engagement session, whom has never had any professional photos done. yeah lol, no pressure.
Elisabeth is the kind of person who pulls off anything, absolutely effortlessly. When she enters a room, people notice. And when you hear her speak, hear her kindness, you know that she would be a positive addition to your friends list. She's warmth and confidence wrapped up into one pretty great human :)
Dylan on the other hand... okay, no I'm kidding lol. His goofy and fun personality gets you laughing until your belly hurts. His discipline when it comes to complete a goal? Seriously admirable. But one of the coolest things Dylan does? Is making Elisabeth smile like she does here. I'd even go as far to call it a super power.
The way that these two interact made it too easy to capture their love. Throwing in a unique element to their shoot helped set the tone for a relaxed, playful and a little adventurous atmosphere. And they took to it naturally (shocked photos not pictured lol). Being in front of the camera wasn't something they were completely comfortable with but the key is that they were so comfortable with each other. Of course, it helped that they know me, but honestly?? They barely needed me. A little direction here and there and plenty of space to just be. Qualities that I aim for in every single one of my photo sessions.
Because thankfully, a love like theirs doesn't need to be forced. Its playful, it's real and it doesn't try to be anything else. And capturing that? That's the best part of my job. If you have love like theirs let's work together to create some magic.
